Loewen Body Shop was launched in Carman, Manitoba, in 1937 by Isaac T. Loewen and was relocated to Steinbach two years later. His son Albert was involved in the business from his youth and took over the daily operations several years later. Albert grew the company into a thriving business, and in 1991 his son Mark was handed the reins. In recent years, two of his sons, Josh and Jesse, have moved into management and are the fourth generation to operate the family business. Continuing the tradition of familial dedication, Josh’s daughter, now serving as a customer service representative, proudly represents the fifth generation of commitment to personalized service at Loewen Body Shop.
From its humble beginnings in a barn with a dirt floor, Loewen Body Shop now employs 27 employees using sophisticated equipment for collision repair, and utilizes the latest network technology for Auto Body Management. We continue to offer the same friendly, one-on-one service today as we did over 85 years ago.
